Halfway There is a comedy by Norm Foster, one of Canada's most successful and prolific playwrights. The play takes place in rural Nova Scotia, where four women friends meet every day in the local cafe. When the new doctor arrives in town, comedy and romance ensue. Halfway There is about friendship, relationships and the values of small-town Canada. It is also very funny.
Pender Solstice Theatre Society has been performing live theatre on Pender Island (S¸DÁYES) for over 30 years. Recent productions include the British Christmas pantomime, Alice in Wonderland. and the Agatha Christie whodunit, And Then There Were None. Solstice Theatre performed the dark comedy, Heroes, on Mayne a few years back, and we are delighted to return with Halfway There. Halfway There is a Norm Foster comedy set in rural Nova Scotia. It is Solstice Theatre's entry in the Theatre BC South Island drama festival in Ladysmith this May. And we hope you will enjoy the show.
